Public Hearing Closed, Decision Pending: LOCAL LAW NO. 9 OF THE YEAR 2026

***PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED, DECISION PENDING TENTATIVE 09/21/2026***

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on September 9, 2026, commencing at 7:41 P.M., local time, to consider LOCAL LAW NO. 9 OF THE YEAR 2026, to amend Town Code Section 197-3B., adding the word “snow blow,” and “roof rake” and removing the word “driveway,” replacing it with the word “property.” Section shall read as follows:

“No person shall plow, snow blow, shovel, roof rake or pile snow from a private or public property in such a manner as to deposit the same in the public roadway or on a public right-of-way or sidewalk or across the street from said property or onto the property of another without that person's consent.” At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.

Announcement: Meltzer Park, Cricket Field

At the direction of Deputy Supervisor Bick and the Clay Town Board, the Highway Department has begun construction on a Cricket pitch (field) in Meltzer Park.

After meeting with community members and the Town Board last fall, Deputy Supervisor Bick worked with the Highway Superintendent, Joe Nicoletti, and Recreation Director, James Muscatello, to see that the project was started as soon as conditions and resources allowed.

We look forward to becoming a destination for Cricket clubs all across Upstate New York!

TOWN OF CLAY LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on August 17, 2026, commencing at 7:35 P.M., local time, to consider Town Board Case #1260: SAND HILL ACRES for a Zone Change from RA-100 Residential Agricultural District to R-APT to Residential Apartment District to allow for future development of multi-family apartment buildings on property located at Henry Clay Boulevard, Tax Map No. 062.-01-08.0, consisting of +/- 17.54 acres of land. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.
