PLANNING BOARD HEARINGS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN; that the Regular Meeting of the Planning Board, of the Town of Clay, will be held on April 8, 2026.  The pre-agenda meeting begins at 7:00 P.M. and public hearings start at 7:30 P.M., at the Clay Town Hall, 4401 State Route 31, Clay, New York pursuant to applicable provisions of the Town of Clay Zoning Ordinance to consider the following:

Case #2026-020 – for a ZONE CHANGE REFERRAL application by 5380 Sweetheart Corner LLC to change the zone district of their property from the One-Family Residential Zoning District (R-10) to the Regional Commercial Zoning District (RC-1) for future development of two commercial structures. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 275 of the Town Law of the State of New York.  The property which is the subject of this application is located at 102 ½ Wally Rd., Tax Map Number #117.-10-26.0. The PLANNING BOARD has the responsibility to formulate a recommendation to the TOWN OF CLAY TOWN BOARD which, by law, has the power to grant or deny the application at a future date (to be announced by publication of a legal notice).

Notice of Zoning Board of Appeals Hearing - April 13, 2026

ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Clay, New York on April 13, 2026, will hold a pre-agenda meeting at 5:30 P.M. in the Jury Room, followed by the Regular Meeting, public hearings beginning at 6:00 P.M., at the Clay Town Hall, 4401 State Route 31, Clay, New York, on the following matters:

Case #1999 – Robert Aluzzo (John Anthony Properties LLC), 8285 Oswego Road, Tax Map #054-02-08.1.  The applicant is seeking two Area Variances pursuant to Section 230-13 D.(4) – Lot and Structure Dimensional Requirements, for a reduction in the side yard setback from 20 feet to 9 feet; and for an increase in the maximum height for an accessory structure from 12 feet to 18 feet to allow construction of a new 16 x 24-foot garage to the northwest side of the existing residence. The property is in the R-10 One-Family Residential Zoning District.

Case #2000 – Erik Turner (Community Bank N.A) 4000 State Route 31, Tax Map # 055.-01-03.1.  The applicant is seeking two Area Variances pursuant to Section 230-16 C. (4) – Lot and Structure Dimensional Requirements, for a reduction in the side yard setback from 75 feet to 44 feet; and for a reduction in the site perimeter landscape strip from 30 feet to 25 feet to allow construction of a new bank and accessory drive-thru on a pad located on the easternmost portion of the parking lot of the existing commercial plaza. The property is in the RC-1 Regional Commercial Zoning District.

Public Hearing Notice: LOCAL LAW NO. 4 OF THE YEAR 2026 (Temporary Moratorium) 04/06/2026 @ 7:38 P.M.

TOWN OF CLAY LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on April 6, 2026, commencing at 7:38 P.M., local time, to consider proposed LOCAL LAW NO. 4 OF THE YEAR 2026, for the adoption of a Temporary Moratorium for all applications/approvals related to battery storage systems in Clay pending a study on the subject and the potential adoption of a new Local Law governing related applications. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.

TOWN OF CLAY LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on April 6, 2026, commencing at 7:35 P.M., local time, to consider Town Board Case #1246: SWEETHEART CORNER REDEVELOPMENT for a Zone Change from R-10 One-Family Residential District to RC-1 Regional Commercial District to allow for proposed construction of two commercial structures on property located at 102 ½ Wally Road, Tax Map No. 117.-10-26.0 consisting of +/- .35 acres of land. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.
